I build Skarbi, a local-first iOS app for keeping track of gift ideas across a whole year rather than a single December. Everything on this blog comes out of that work: the coordination problems families actually hit, the tools I've tested by hand, and the decisions behind how the app handles them.
I write about four things — the year-round gift idea system, sharing lists with people who won't install an app, family gift coordination and etiquette, and occasion planning. Competitor comparisons here are based on installing the thing and using it for a real occasion, and they name what those tools do better. Statistics carry their source, sample size, and fielding date inline so you can check them.
Corrections and questions: hello@skarbi.app.
